What a Protocol Session Includes
Athletic Wellness Protocol Sessions are 45 MINUTES, one-on-one appointments with an Athletic Wellness Performance Specialist who designs a customized plan for the specific result you want. Each appointment focuses on the client’s complaint—an ache, strain, sprain, or injury—and directs the specialist’s hands-on time toward the areas that matter most during that visit.
Sessions include a mix of stretches on our Vibration Plate plus Neuromuscular Re-Education, Neuromuscular Stretching, Neuromuscular Strength Training, and, when appropriate, the Cocoon Recovery Pod. The specialist selects and sequences these techniques in real time to address mobility, activation, and targeted strengthening without introducing methods we do not offer.
How Your Results Are Shaped
Outcomes are shaped by how the specialist combines techniques with your goals, symptoms, and in-session response. Within the 45 MINUTES format the focus is on prioritized, measurable objectives for that visit—improved movement, reduced tension, or clearer next steps—while avoiding promises about specific clinical results or timelines.
Clients who use protocol packs gain daily-visit options that include full facility access: Normatec Compression, Red Light Infrared Sauna, PEMF, and Theraguns. Membership holders may also use those amenities and relax after a Protocol Session; that extended access lets specialists plan recovery across multiple visits rather than relying on a single appointment.
Preparing and Facility Access Details
Arrive in comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and bring any relevant medical details or recent imaging the specialist should review. Our Altoona location sits in the River Prairie district near Bob Brown Boulevard’s sports and wellness area, with convenient access from U.S. Highway 53, U.S. Highway 12, and Clairemont Avenue for commuters, families, and local athletes.
After a session, protocol packs and memberships allow use of recovery equipment listed above, and the Cocoon Recovery Pod is used when it fits the protocol. Seasonal factors in Altoona—cold, snowy winters and busy summer event days—can affect travel and appointment timing, so plan accordingly during heavy travel or community-event periods.
