Assessment and personalized plan
Your 1-on-1 Performance Recovery Specialist assessment starts with a focused intake about the pain, chronic injury, or weakness you brought in. The specialist uses that information to design a personalized, hands-on visit that may include neuro-stretching, targeted strengthening and techniques to reduce tightness, all matched to your goals and current function.
This first visit is 45 minutes to 1 hour and costs $37.5 for a single drop-in. If you want ongoing visits, discounted 4, 8, 12, and 24 packs are available to reduce per-visit cost and make scheduling easier around work, family, and training commitments in Altoona.
What happens during session
During the visit the specialist evaluates movement patterns and locates tight or weak areas related to your complaint. Interventions focus on practical steps — hands-on neuro-stretching, guided strengthening approaches, and strategies to reduce tightness — chosen to address the issues you described and to be safe for your current tolerance.
Because the session is one-on-one, pressure, exercise difficulty and next-step recommendations are adjusted to your comfort and goals. You will leave with immediate, usable suggestions for home care and clear options: a single drop-in for short-term relief or a planned pack for ongoing recovery and follow-up.
Scheduling and local access
Athletic Wellness is located in Altoona's River Prairie district near Bob Brown Boulevard sports and wellness facilities and the Eau Claire River trails, with easy access from U.S. Highway 53 and Highway 12. That location is convenient for commuters, athletes, and families fitting appointments around work, school, or training.
Regional seasonality affects appointment timing—cold, snowy winters and busy summer events can change travel times and availability. We recommend booking ahead when possible and allowing extra travel time in winter; our scheduling aims to accommodate local routines across the Chippewa Valley and nearby communities.
